internships took place this spring and summer; let us start with the French side:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clara Scherbaum worked at LSV on <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.lsv.ens-paris-saclay.fr\/LifeForm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Clara_report.pdf\"><em>Computing Cut Sets for Petri Nets<\/em><\/a>; she developped unfolding-based techniques for determining sets of conditions to block from being satisfied so that some given place in the Net remains unmarked; such <em>cut sets<\/em> allow to ensure health properties in biological networks.<\/li>\n<li>Juraj Kol\u010d\u00e1k studied <em><a href=\"https:\/\/is.muni.cz\/th\/374377\/fi_m\/?lang=en\">Efficient Analysis of Boolean Networks under Parameter Uncertainty&nbsp;<\/a><\/em> in his master&#8217;s thesis accepted at Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic; the research was carried out at LSV under the joint supervision of Stefan Haar and <span id=\"name\">Lo\u00efc Paulev\u00e9<\/span>, together with master&#8217;s advisor David Safranek at Brno.<\/li>\n<li>Hugues Mandon successfully completed his master&#8217;s thesis on <em><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.lsv.ens-paris-saclay.fr\/LifeForm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/RapportDeStage.pdf\">Algorithms for cellular reprogramming<\/a><\/em>&nbsp; with <span id=\"name\">Lo\u00efc Paulev\u00e9 <\/span>and Stefan Haar at LRI; he is now continuing as a PhD student at LSV under&nbsp;Stefan Haar and&nbsp;<span id=\"name\">Lo\u00efc Paulev\u00e9<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>C\u00e9line CHEVALIER worked with <span id=\"name\">Lo\u00efc Paulev\u00e9<\/span> at LRI on a logical model for transcription regulation in<em> Bacillus subtilis<\/em> ; the results of her internship are presented <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.lsv.ens-paris-saclay.fr\/LifeForm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/presentationStage2016.pdf\">here<\/a> .<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In Newcastle,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Delia Casas Pastor did her MSc internship at Newcastle University under the supervision of&nbsp; Anil Wipat, Goksel Misirli and Wendy Smith and in cooperation with Victor Khomenko, on <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.lsv.ens-paris-saclay.fr\/LifeForm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/dissertation_DeliaCasas-1.pdf\"><em>Deriving stress-specific biomarkers for Bacillus subtilis from the integration of RNA-seq and tiling data.<\/em><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Several LifeForm-related&nbsp;
